Savoury Snacks

I love crisps and often crave savoury diversions. After years of exhaustive research I would have to say that the best crisp in the world is Jonathan Crisp’s Jalapeno Pepper flavour. They have a very narrow sphere of influence and can only be found in emporiums in and around Oxford. However, boxes can be ordered from the website should you so desire.

My second favourite savoury snack is the Twiglet. To this day I have no idea what they are covered in - some deviant relative of marmite I’m sure - but they taste fantastic and are also knobbly.

I was once a fan of Rancheros but they don’t exist anymore. They were sort of puffed up, narrow rectangular bacony type things. Gone the same way as Space Dust, Spangles and Blobs. Blobs had two especially fine flavours - toffee apple and strawberry & cream. I have taken to photographing sweets ………………

Music For Pleasure

Pikaluk invites you to visit her store full of music and books. None of the recommended CDs will disappoint you and, if they do, you should get your ears syringed. I once went to a chemist about my itchy ears and was sold a bottle of olive oil to pour in them. It did nothing to help but the resulting pesto was good.
